Art at St Thomas'

Throughout Art at St Thomas C.E. Primary School, we aspire to provide opportunities for our pupils to be creative and produce creative, interesting and imaginative work. We aim to do this by teaching our pupils the important skills and techniques that assist them in developing their imagination, creativity and confidence. Our pupils are given the opportunity to explore their ideas through their experiences, but also to explore and evaluate the work of other artists, local and national. As well as this, our pupils will continually develop their knowledge and confidence in a variety of techniques, such as drawing, painting, textiles, sculpture and collage. As a school, we ensure that all our pupils are aware that Art is available and accessible for everybody and it can be enjoyable, thrilling and inspiring!
