Stud earrings are allowed to be worn in school. Hoop earrings or drop earrings should not be worn, as these present a Health and Safety risk.
Watches may be worn as these help children learning to tell the time. Smart watches are not permitted .
The wearing of earrings (including studs) during PE lessons is not permitted under any circumstances. These must be removed for PE, games, swimming and any other activity where the wearing of earrings is considered a risk to the health and safety of the children. This includes 'PE safe earrings', which still pose a risk of injury.
If a child has recently had their ears pierced and cannot have their earrings removed, they will not take part in the physical and active parts of the lesson. Staff cannot remove earrings and covering earrings with plasters still poses a risk of injury to a child.
Neck chains, rings, pendants, bracelets and brooches are not permitted. This also includes large hair ornaments and clips. It is required that all individuals with long hair tie it back during PE lessons to ensure safety. Loose hair can obstruct vision, become tangled in equipment, or even cause accidental injury during physical activities.
If any child is required by religion to wear a particular item this must be agreed by the headteacher.
We do not insist on crested items, all our uniform is readily available at local supermarkets and uniform shops.
There is also a website that stocks our uniform - click here
We do not currently offer second-hand uniform options, although school may have some spare uniform available if families require it. Please contact the school office if needed.
